Another escape route was, using an existing well in the grounds outside used for training. It was enough for two men to hide in, so when the were playing Volleyball two will go and hide in the well, which was then covered up.
Somebody will go to the external wall and create a disruption as if two men got over the wall, which will then get all the guards to search and not to miss except the two at the row call, and then in the evening the will escape.
Another route was thru a hole in a basement. A big diet was needed to get out here, 200mm x 500mm.
