Serial number 1415 is now at the SAAF museum, correct?

Does anyone know what happened to the other 4 airframes?

What models were the various 5 aircraft?

Okay, I see they were a mix of 328 and 344 series aircraft.
1415 - 328C
1417 - 328C
1419 - 328C
1421 - 344C
1423 - 344B

Does anyone know what happened to the airframes?

Is there not one standing on the hardstand at AFB Makhado?

The fate of the SAAF B707s:

1415 - to the USA (as far as I know this was the one stored at AFB Makhado for a while
1417 - forward section to SAAF Museum, remainder scrapped
1419 - to SAAF Museum
1421 - forward section to SAA Museum, remainder scrapped
1423 - scrapped at AFB Waterkloof at same time as the other two (shortly before Waterkloof Airshow)

I know of only 1417 and 1419 that had the mounting lugs for the EW cheeks (as far as I can recall 1421 and 1423 did not have them). Incidentally it was only 1415 and 1419 that were painted in the final colour scheme, 1417 and 1421 still carried the old colour scheme while 1423 was all white with no national insignia.

Anyone know who scrapped the aircraft, or when they were scrapped?

They were cut up by a civilian company who was awarded the tender (by Armscor I believe) around the end of September/beginning of October 2011. As I understand it one of the conditions was that it all had to be removed and the site cleaned prior to the preparations for the Waterkloof Airshow held later in October.

Thank you Kremlin,

I saw these one day, are these engines from the 707's?

Yes they are. After 1419 had flown into Swartkop the serviceable engines were removed for disposal/sale and time-expired ones were fitted.
