Eduard 1/48 Spitfire IXe done in the scheme as used by SAAF 1 Sqn.
Paints used were Humbrol spray can 29 Dark Earth & Vallejo Sky Grey.
Painted according to a picture found on an aftermarket decal set:

Very very nice. Where did you source the spray cans. I can get Humbrol but have never seen Valejo locally.

The Vallejo paints are not spray cans. They come in 17ml bottles with dropper tops.
I get my Vallejo Model Color and Model Air through the net or Ebay, as the model shop I used to by them from locally closed down in 2019.
As the Vallejo paints are acrylic I can airbrush in our dining room with no chemical smells.
Vallejo Model Color needs thinning before airbrushing and I use plain tap water to do this.
The Vallejo Model Air is said to be able to be airbrushed straight from the bottle, but I still water it down slightly.
