I'm feeling battle fatigued by my Gripen D build.
I'm pushing with my Mig-29A, another problem build, not a s bad as the Gripen.
I hope to get the Mig done in the next couple of days, I hope.

I will have to recover and get my mojo up again, has taken a beating.
I have to rediscover something simple t get my enthusiasm, had a bit of a look at my stash.

What have you got on the go Mistral?

Must be winter hibernation! I am stalled on my C-160 build waiting for some decals to finish it off. In the meantime am tinkering with a 1/72 Casspir

OK, so it seems to be me, Mr.T and Spice keeping the build threads going. Whatever happened to J-Nic, Greek, Vlamgat, Ports, Ant-M, Herman etc. I see Greg made a quick blip but has also gone quite. C'mon guys, we can do better. Ozzie and UK forums are much more thread heavy. It's so lonely out here.....

Thanks Mistral. Perhaps we should put the word out at the various model club meets?

Lonely oh so lonely :D :D

Make you a deal Mistral. I'll pot more if we see at more club meetings

Just kidding. Btw There is a quarterly competition this next meeting, so you have to come and defend your title as master builder.

I have Dean, at the GRSM. However, GRSM have a Facebook page so I guess the guys post there. Personally, I'm not into FB and prefer the option of posting on your forum where individual threads can be tracked and viewed without a bunch of other clutter - not sure if FB has that option. I guess many other folks find FB easier. It's just a pity that there are so few modelers who actually share their work on these forums. :?

Ja meneer - will be there Saturday. Past two meets coincided with family weekends so was difficult to get through to GRSM. See you on Saturday :smt023

I suppose it boils down to what you expect from a forum like this. Even this thread suggests a lot of people coming through and looking (738) whilst only a few actually taking the time to comment (13 replies in 2 years) Some of the international sites obviously start with bigger numbers of modelers in the first place and threads very quickly grow to views in the thousands and proportionally a lot more comments. Some also have structured to have WIP forums vs ready for comment etc - this can be overkill.

I personally got involved in this forum mainly because I love modeling, the obvious linkage with the SAAF which is a big part of my history and to learn from people who are so much better than I am. I build non-stop but have never really considered my work good enough to undergo the scrutiny of WIP threads, I have done on a few occaisions and received nothing but fantastic support and constructive comment. I said it right at the start when I found this forum it is a very supportive site. That said it is a little disheartening I will admit to take the time to take photos, go through getting them saved on photobucket, post everything on this site and then get one or two comments (usually from the same people) or even none. I am the first to put my hand up here, I read just about every post but don't comment that often so am just as guilty.

Apologies for the rambling comment but again I would say in this modern world where we are all bombarded with information I don't think it's a case of too few people building and posting, just everyone too busy to get actively involved and post comments.
