All three in port and the fact that one is on the lift there rather than in Simon's Town would be a strong indication that Durban is now their home port.

Not really, they were all re-fitted in Durban when they were moved down there.

The SA Navy has regarded Durban as being the home base for the OPVs (Strikecraft) for a while, I think since last year.

Since it was redesignated a Base. The essential defining difference between a naval station and a base is the fact that a base is the home port for at least one ship, a naval station only has ships visiting.

I know they made that announcement last year. Just never seemed like they were being operated out of there.

Barely ever saw them out in the bay, but maybe that's just because they operate differently than in CT.
