Hi guys I am repainter for FS2004 aircraft and well I have been working on project you can say....

This is a repaint of Bjorn Buchner's freeware Atlas Impala MkI. It is painted in the last colour scheme the Silver Falcons, the official aerobatic display team of the SAAF, used before retiring of the Impala MkI in favour of their new aircraft the Pilatus PC-7 MkII.

This new colour scheme was introduced after 1994 to replace the republic colours of orange to dark blue (Aircraft Blue) and the original dark blue with a lighter blue (Arctic Blue). The underside sunburst was also applied to the top of the wing in the final colour scheme.

All the Impalas of the Silver Flacons display team have serials as was displayed at the big 1995 Africa Aerospace and Defence Airshow at AFB Waterkloof. All the serails are authentic based on research obtained from http://www.scramble.nl/index.html.

A Search at http://www.flightsim.com or http://www.avsim.com for the filename imppack.zip must be done to obtain the Atlas Impala Package.

Ohh yeah I think these textures I have made is good looking enough to start a virtual Silver Falcon Aerobatic team I guess \:D/

So now for the good stuff, the screenshots hehe

Well done Rocky! Which Impala has the best flight model to download. I've downloaded one before, and it flew like a cat with wings. Am looking for one, as I have Cheetah E & C, Mirage III, F1AZ and F1CZ, Buccaneer, Harvard, Pilatus and Sabre, also Dakota and Flossie of course. But no Imp as the flight model was so bad as mentioned.
Hope you can help as I want to desperately fly a proper Impala.

Thanx for all the feedback guys, appreciate it

Ryno, if you search at www.flightsim.com or www.avsim.com for the filename imppack.zip you will get the impala Mk.I like the one I painted but also the Impala Mk.II with the "Gannet" colour scheme.

This Impala pack has a very good flight model and very user friendly to fly and is actually nice to fly \:D/

There is also an updated flightmodel at www.flightsim.com but when it is installed, it does noet give me the same feel as before, but thats is just my take on it

Hope you will enjoy flying the impala hehe but sure give me shout if you need any more assistance or just want to know something regarding installation etc.

Blessings :smt023

On more PS. hehe

If you want the best and realistic sound files for this Impala, download the freeware soko galeb, also an awesome plane since the impala and galeb had the same rolls royce viper engine. The Galbed can also be found at www.flightsim.com

Blessings and enjoy!

Hi Rocky,
Flew the imppack last night with the Silver Faclon old scheme - flew a demo over Ysterplaat, as that was wherre I sawa them most, and for the first time as well obviously. Your right, nice flight model. I did not check file size yet, but if you have ADSL, I could always send you the video clip - :) .
Now I just have to download your file. How did you get the formations?

Ryno

Just looked at your graphics again - those formations are too tight and neat to be a few fligtht simmers - so you actually painted a whole formation I suppose?

Hi ryno

Hehe Yeah it was me, it painted 5 different aircraft all with different serials but you can use a program called flight recorder to make those formations, it basically works that you fly 1 jet, than record it, play it back and fly a new jet and record that and well what you see is all 4 planes and all of it is yours truly!

Well some good news, I have a few more Impala MkI paints up my sleeve, will try yo upload the weekend, the civv ZU-IMP from david laas, the original silver falcon paint scheme, 24 squadron, TFDC colours etc...

Blessings and hope that clears it up

Yeah, I know about flight recorder- probably trhe only way I'll ever fly formation, as I am struggling to find other pilots in CPT to fly with me.
I flew a display at Ysterplaat in your Silwervalk, shall I mail you the file - it should be quite big, but I suppose you have ADSL and won't mind?

To be technically correct, remove the backseat and replace with the diiesel/smoke tank

Grizzly

This is my own opinion but the best bet would be to get FS2004, it is the most stable, has the most addons and planes avaliable on the web for freeware and payware and is also got if you have a low end pc and so forth. If you want to fly like us South Africans do then FS2004 would be the best since it has lots of SA Scenery!

I have FSX also but that is not that good for me, to slow, eats to much memort and the addons are not that great and there is still a lot of bugs and the SA Scenery is not good and there is no new Scenery on the web for FSX, a few but not like FS2004.

Yes A Joystick is a must hey :smt023 Just makes the flying more enjoyable and natural!

Hope this helps but feel free and shout if you need anything more or want to know anything more!

Blessings
