This is merely an observation of late. I have noticed that the forum has been very quiet for quite some time and there generally is no more chatter and debate anymore. Where has everyone gone? Even the regulars have vanished. There used to be quite robust debate and chatter, sometimes entertaining...

I hope this year we can see the regulars return and some new members. It is still a great forum and many thanks to Dean. :smt023

I assumed everyone is still on holiday or either just started work and is too busy to chat!

My point exactly... :smt023
Now that I think of it a lot of other forums that I frequent are also quiet lately. There used to be a lot of robust debate and banter. There is sporadic topics and banter, but it has toned down considerably lately. I am trying to understand this trend in South Africa. I'm no sociologist but maybe it has to do with our psyche as a nation...almost like we have given up on everything, even enjoyable pastimes like taking an interest in things relating to the SAAF. :|

The only thing "wrong" with this forum is that Eugene is MIA.

i agree. I miss him too. there are a few others though that have been quieter than usual. but Eugene would be awsome in a debate on development of transnet, orange basin, petrosa and the so called samsa fleet. big things in the works from SA government. internet is no comparisson to a decent debate

".... sometimes entertaining ...."

 I can assure you it's still there. . You just need to look around.

You need to look and kyk gelyk - if I may borrow from a proverbial South African'ism. A very broad sense of humour is a necessity as well. :smt044 :smt043 :smt023
