Eurocopter expands southern African presence

The SA Police Service has recently acquired three Eurocopter AS350 B3 Squirrel helicopters for its air wing. The SAPS also operate 16 BO-105 and two BK-117 helicopters.

The SA Air Force operates a further 10 BK-117's. Eurocopter has maintenance contracts for all. The Department of Agriculture has also ordered a AS350 B3.

The Lesotho Defence Force's air wing recently acquired two BO-105 LF/LS Super Lifters to replace two older BO-105 helicopters. The new helicopters are customised for Lestotho's hot and high conditions.
