Air Force Day parade back on track

After four months at the helm of the SA Air Force (SAAF), Lieutenant General Zakes Msimang will maintain tradition and host his first Air Force Day parade on the first Friday in February.
It was earlier announced the parade, one of the SAAF’s major ceremonial events of the year, would be postponed until February 14.
Reinstatement of the parade on February 1 was confirmed by SAAF media liaison officer Lieutenant Colonel Dinky Mokwebo.
The February 1 parade will be at AFB Waterkloof, the SAAF’s centre of transport excellence and not AFB Swartkop, immediate past CAF Lieutenant General Carlo Gagiano’s preferred choice of venue.
