New Deputy Chief of the Airforce appointed

Major General Wiseman Simo Mbambo has taken over the reigns as the new Deputy Chief of the South African Air Force at a Change of command ceremony held at Zwartkop airbase on 27 February 2013.
Mbambo was previously the General Officer Commanding (GOC) Air Command and succeeds Major General Gerald Malinga who is retiring.
At the parade, Lieutenant General Fabian "Zakes" Msimang, Chief of the Airforce, symbolically reaffirmed the GOC Air Command symbol to Malinga who in turn handed over command to Mbambo.
