New Defence Proposals Announced!!!!!!!!!!!!

The South African Cabinet has named the preferred suppliers of the defence force's arms package.
Here are the basics:
The total package will cost R29.7 billion, which is about £3.13 billion.
The BAe/SAAB consortium has been chosen to supply 28 Gripens at a cost of R10.8 bn (£1.14 bn) with BAe supplying a further Hawk 100 trainers at a value of R4 728m / £498m).
Westland will supply the four Super Lynx maritime helicopters (R787m / £82.8m), while Agusta will supply 40 A-109s for the light utility role (R2 168m / £228m).
The German Meko 200 won the order for 4 corvettes as well as 3 submarines.
The supply of new main battle tanks for the Army has been put on hold.
The entire programme should bring investments and purchasing worth R110 bn (£11.58 bn) and almost 65 000 jobs to SA.
