Air Force commemorates dead
Date: 2 May 2004
The South African Air Force held it's annual memorial service in Pretoria on Sunday, honouring members who died in the line of duty, SABC radio reported.
Among those remembered were two young members who died in an accident last November during a flight training exercise in Mpumalanga.
Wreaths were also laid for members of armies of former liberation movements. The annual ceremony was started in 1954 and has since honoured over 3000 Air Force members.
