A-Darter preferred option for Gripen

The South African Air Force (SAAF) will arm its future Gripen multirole fighters with the Denel Aerospace A-Darter (Agile Darter) close-range air-to-air missile if its development can be completed in time, according to SAAF chief Lieutenant General Carlo Gagiano. The SAAF needs the missile by 2009.
