SAAF to acquire PAC 750XL?
Date: 8 July 2008
It has been rumoured on aviation forums that the SAAF is evaluating the PAC 750XL turboprop utility aircraft. The aircraft is built by New Zealand based Pacific Aircraft Corporation.
The aircraft may be seen as a possible replacement for the Cessna 185's which were acquired in the 1960's and as a force multiplier (albeit on a small scale) for the Cessna 208 Caravans.
The aircraft is marketed in South Africa by Naturelink. A number of PAC 750XLs are already operated in South Africa.
