Armscor recently awarded numerous contracts relating to the SAAF and in the aerospace arena.
These include the following:
An extension to an existing contract was awarded to Grintek Ewation (Pty) Ltd on 9 October for the maintenance of the OCJ, COMIX and DACIS electronic warfare systems for the SAAF. The value of the extension is R952 327.
In a sign of continuing development and upgrading of the Rooivalk combat helicopter, Armscor issued a Request for Quotation to SAAB Grintek Defence (Pty) Ltd t/a SAAB Aerotech SA on 6 October to upgrade the integration test bench for the Laser Warning system capability for the Rooivalk.
In a surprising move, a R5 740 603.24 extension to a contract for product support for the Cheetah fighter aircraft was awarded to Denel Aviation on 2 October.
Execujet Maintenance (Pty) Ltd were awarded numerous contract extensions during the month of October. These included:
- SAAF Boeing business jet support services (R421 053,49)
- Product support services for the Cessna Caravan 208 aircraft (R121 527.06)
- Product support services for the King Air Aircraft (R104 131.69)
Denel Aerospace Group was awarded an extension to their contract on 4 September for a support facility for the Starstreak missile of the local warning segment of the Ground Based Air Defence Systems. The value of the extension is R533 520.
On 25 September, IST Dynamics (Pty) Ltd was awarded an R80 000 extension of their contract for low cost aerial target system flying services.
Denel (Pty) Ltd t/a DLS Group: Naschem was awarded a extension to their contract for the upgrade of 12,5 kg aircraft bomb detonators on 11 September. The value of the extension is R9 305 767.50.
