Tenders awarded during October 2009

Armscor issued a number of tenders relating to the SAAF during October 2009.
These included the following:
A number extensions to existing contracts was awarded to Denel (Pty) Ltd, t/a Denel Aviation:
- Product support services for the C-130 Hercules aircraft worth R9 500 000
- Deployment of 21 Squadron at Denel Aviation worth R1 535 088 and R1 754 386
- Product support for the SA Air Force's Hawk aircraft components and ground support equipment worth R2 218 912.
Execujet Maintenance (Pty) Ltd was awarded extensions to their existing contracts on 15 October for:
- Presidential Boeing Business Jet products services (R868 421)
- Business jet product support (R868 421)
The contract for maintenance and support services of self protection systems for the Oryx helicopter and C-130 aircraft was extended on 15 October. The R1 774 713 extension was awarded to SAAB Grintek Defence (Pty) Ltd, t/a Saab Avitronics.
Advanced Technologies & Engineering (Pty) Ltd was awarded a R8 771 929 extension to their contract for the repair/overhaul of components for the SA Air Force's Hawk aircraft on 29 October.
Also on 29 October, Denel (Pty) Ltd, t/a Denel Aviation was awarded and extension to theor contract for the hangarage for the C130BZ aircraft 402. This contract is valued at R655 993,20.
A request for quotation was issued on 23 October for the cleaning of aviation fuel tanks.
