New appointments

* Colonel M.M.M. Mangethe Mdlalose of the SA Air Force is promoted to the temporary rank of Brigadier General, without pay of rank, and appointed as Chief of Staff, Regional Joint Task Force West with effect from 1 January 2001 and promotion to the substantive rank of Brigadier General with effect from 1 November 2001.
* Colonel M.J. Grant of the SA Air Force is promoted to the rank of Brigadier General and appointed as Director Technical Services at the Air Command.
* Colonel J.M. Ledwaba of the SA Air Force is promoted to the temporary rank of Brigadier General, without pay of rank and appointed as Director Operations and Intelligence Systems at the Air Command with effect from 1 January 2001 and promoted to the substantive rank of Brigadier General with effect from 1 January 2002.
* Colonel R.D.J. Penhall of the SA Air Force is promoted to the rank of Brigadier General and appointed as General Officer Commanding Air Force Base Waterkloof.
* Colonel J.D. Pelser of the SA Air Force is promoted to the rank of Brigadier General and appointed as Director Technical Support at Joint Support Division.
* Colonel G.M. Woco of the SA Air Force is promoted to the temporary rank of Brigadier General, without pay of rank and appointed as Director Personnel Acquisition at the Human Resource Support Centre, Joint Support Division with effect from 1 December 2000 and promoted to the substantive rank of Brigadier General with effect from 1 April 2001.
* Colonel H.A. Bembe of the SA Air Force is promoted to the rank of Brigadier General and appointed as Director Base Support Systems Group at the Air Command with effect from 1 July 2001.
* Colonel P. du Plessis of the SA Air Force is promoted to the rank of Brigadier General and appointed as General Officer Commanding Air Force Base Hoedspruit.
