The Hart is a two-seat light day bomber.
An initial batch of 100 Harts were purchased from the RAF to serve as advanced trainers and second-line operational aircraft. The Hart Bomber had a rear gun position and the Hart Trainer had dual controls.
Serial numbers for the Bombers were 301 to 400 and the serial numbers for the Trainers were 401 to 499 and from 2041 to 2067.
Armament:
One fixed forward-firing 0.303 in (7.7mm) Vivkers Mk II or III machine-gun in port side of nose and one 0.303 in (7.7mm) Lewis gun on rear cockpit mounting, plus a bombload of up to 520 lb (236 kg).
