Mirage F1AZ 		237 1 Sqn 1 OK SE of Lubango, Angola Part of a 16 ship F1AZ force attacking SWAPO base near Lubango, damaged by two SA-3s, losing hydraulic pressure, the use of the nozzle flaps and the nav computer. Landed Ruacana forward airstrip, SWA without nose-wheel.

Mirage F1AZ 		1 Sqn 2 OK AFB Waterkloof 2 x Mirage F1AZ's: During a four-ship practice formation display at low level, number four, in an effort not to fly through a hanger, eased up and into the leaders slipstream. His nose cone hit the leaders nozzle flaps, pushing the aircraft into a steep nose-down position. A +7g pull-up prevented impact with ground and hanger.
