Superstop ADBS 145 Bomb

The Superstop ADBS 145 is an area denial stand-off weapon that is delivered by fighter aircraft, thus denying the enemy access, or use of, strategic areas such as air bases, convoy routes, bridges and key points, eg : hills, ridges, etc.
The attack profile of the ADBS 145 is a low, below radar approach, in 4g pull-up and a release of 16kms from the target. After release, the aircraft turns and drops down to below radar again and returns to base. The ADBS 145 is now in a "Toss" mode and after a pre-set time, a rocket booster motor is ignited, thereby increasing the normal 8kms stand-off distance to 16kms.
A parachute is deployed by the altimeter fuze, after which the bomb will "peg" into the surface of the earth or tarmac and not be buried, ensuring above ground detonation after a pre-set time delay up to 150 hours.
